October donned its pinkest sportswear as the LRC Charitable Foundation, with the Ladies’ Recreation Club Pickleball Sub-committee, served up solidarity at their inaugural Charity Pickleball Tournament—smashing for a cause during Pink Ribbon Month.
Eighty-four participants from Hong Kong’s community—including LRC members, their guests, and top local players—took to the courts to rally, compete, and champion a meaningful cause. Among them were special guests Li Xiaopeng, renowned Chinese gymnast and four-time Olympic gold medalist, and his wife Angel Li, who added an extra spark to the day. Sports and solidarity came together to raise funds for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and its essential work at the Breast Cancer Support Centre (BCSC), which provides comprehensive support for patients, their families, and caregivers.
Since 2021, the LRC Charitable Foundation has been committed to enhancing well-being in Hong Kong communities by providing grants to local charities and NGOs, actively supporting disadvantaged individuals. Focusing on three key areas—Women and Underprivileged Children, Help to the Homeless, and Youth Outreach—the Foundation takes a targeted approach, ensuring its resources make the greatest impact where they are needed most.
The Pink Ribbon campaign continues through the end of October 2025, featuring Mahjong, Aqua Blast, Zumba, as well as Ladies’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournaments. Supporters can also contribute through a Silent Auction, running until the end of the month.
